With unbeatable efficiency in terms of fuel burn, CO₂ emissions* and economics, the A350F is the only freighter capable of meeting the latest ICAO CO₂ emissions standards set for 2027. 

By combining advanced aerodynamics, extensive use of weight-saving materials, a unique carbon airframe and powerful Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 engines, it achieves remarkable performance. This translates to at least 20% lower fuel burn and CO₂ emissions vs competitor aircraft.

As a direct response to their needs, the A350F will feature the largest main deck cargo door in its class, allowing quicker loading of diverse goods, keeping global trade moving smoothly. Its optimised fuselage and impressive internal volume will allow that more freight can be carried. A350F's unique floor design optimises flexible pallet loading, enabling better center-of-gravity management and maximizing cargo capacity. It also meets the benchmark flight from Hong Kong to Anchorage – the most often flown cargo route in the world – at full payload.

Explore A350F capabilities

The Airbus A350F features an advanced cargo door designed for optimal loading efficiency. With a cut-out dimension of 4445mm (175 inches) and a clear opening of 4305mm (169.5 inches), it surpasses the nose and side doors of the Boeing 747F. This door is 15% wider than the one of the Boeing 777F, allowing for the seamless one-go entry of large items.

Specifically built to transport all new large engines, the A350F accommodates oversized cargo without the need for disassembly. This makes it an ideal choice for the aviation industry, setting a new standard in the freighter market with its superior door dimensions and enhanced operational efficiency.

The Trent XWB-97 is the only new generation engine in service at this level of thrust today, clearly pioneering the future of aerospace. It features state of the art operational reliability (following the footsteps of the Industry benchmark Trent XWB-84) delivering dependable durability now and for the future.

Airlines already operating A350s will find significant advantages with the A350F. Flight crews holding an A350 type rating will be able to adapt quickly to the freighter, and ground technicians familiar with the passenger version will find a straightforward transition to maintaining the A350F. 

These two models share 100% commonality in engine spares and tooling, allowing airlines to optimise their maintenance operations and reduce inventory costs. With 99% commonality in airframe tools and 98% in spares, the need for additional investment is significantly minimised. This extensive commonality  simplifies fleet management and enhances profitability, enabling airlines to make the most of their existing resources while maintaining a streamlined, cost-effective operation across the A350 family.

The A350F can transport live animals like horses, cows, pigs, etc.

Does the A350F have a crew rest area?

Yes, the A350F has a flight crew rest compartment with one seat and two beds, just like the A350 passenger version, at a 6,000ft cabin altitude.

Does the A350F have a specific air conditioning system?

The A350F air conditioning system has been adapted to segregate air flows of cargo compartments from crew areas to avoid propagation of smells into the cockpit, courier area and crew rest. It also has the capability to lower the temperature down to 4°C.

Is the A350F based on a passenger aircraft?

Yes, it will benefit greatly from the proven technology, reliability, and support network of the successful A350 passenger family, while being specifically designed for cargo operations with features like a large main deck door.
