Hamburg, 16 June, 2022 – Uzbekistan Airways has selected Airbus Services for the cabin reconfiguration of their A320 fleet. Airbus will provide the Services Bulletins and kits to install 24 additional economy seats in a full economy class cabin. The programme will be conducted at the UAT - Uzbekistan Airways MRO center in Tashkent. The contract includes 9 A320 aircraft.
Within the service the aircraft will be reconfigured with the new Recaro 3710 Swift seats. The decreased weight of the seats will enable Uzbekistan Airways to optimize the cabin performance to accommodate 174 passengers (+24 seats) in full economy class while ensuring the comfort for the passenger. The seats have an integrated netting in the backrest combined with ergonomically designed cushions making them as comfortable as possible. In addition, the living space in all areas (visual space, knee clearance & shin clearance, as well as seat width in-between the armrest) was increased. Uzbekistan Airways is the first airline to choose these types of seats.
We are proud to be Uzbekistan Airways' long standing partner of choice, delivering the right cabin solution at the right time, supporting the airline growth and meeting the market trends.
