Hamburg, 29 May 2024 – Airbus' wholly-owned subsidiary, Eltra Services Beijing, signed an aircraft parts build agreement with Jiatai Aircraft Equipment Co., Ltd, a Chinese cabin seat supplier and subsidiary of Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC), at Aircraft Interiors eXpo 2024, to further enhance collaboration between the companies.
Under this agreement, Jiatai will focus on parts manufacturing and assembly as well as ensuring on-time delivery, while Eltra will provide specification and technical support to meet customer demands with better services.
Mr. Miao Yan, General Manager of Eltra, sees the cooperation as a new use of synergies to further improve the solutions portfolio for customers. He said: “Eltra has been focusing on providing quick, convenient and high-quality repair and technical support services to airlines. The cooperation with Jiatai will benefit customers with more localized solutions.”
“The cooperation leverages the strengths of both companies: Jiatai’s manufacturing capability and Eltra’s expertise in repair, maintenance and services.” said Mr. He Caifu, General Manager of Jiatai, “Joining forces will drive excellent services and products for China and Asia-Pacific customers with reduced costs and lead time.”
In 2022, Eltra, together with two other Airbus subsidiaries (Satair and KID), announced an agreement to cooperate with Jiatai in the cabin seat industry. This cooperation further broadened Eltra's business scope and provided optimised solutions to customers.
