Chicago, 9 April 2024 – Airbus has chosen M1 Composites Technology Inc, to provide repair station services for A220 aircraft operators in North America. M1 Composites, is the first designated repair station to support A220 maintenance in the region, and will support the growing fleet here.
Located in Laval, Canada, M1 Composites will provide repair station services for Airbus Proprietary Parts powered by Satair, an Airbus Services company, with a special focus on the structural and flight surfaces, rudders, elevators, winglets and more.
“With more than 150 A220s operating in North American-based airline fleets today, and another 240+ expected in coming years, we are intently focused on servicing locally our customers and aircraft operators, and providing capable and high-quality repair support in this key market for Airbus and Satair,” said Alexandra Cros, Senior Vice President, A220 Customer Services.

With more than 325 A220s delivered to 20 airlines operating on five continents, the A220 is the optimal aircraft to offer operational flexibility for both regional as well as long-distance routes. To date, more than 100 million passengers have flown on the A220. The fleet is currently flying on more than 1,400 routes and more than 440 destinations worldwide. As of the end of March 2024, around 30 customers have ordered more than 900 A220 aircraft - confirming its leading position in the small single-aisle market.
