Supporting your growth
At Airbus Consulting, our goal is to support the sustainable growth of airports by bringing strategic, technical and operational value to Customers and solve their pain points.
As the worldwide traffic will continue to grow, airports will endeavour to capture new business opportunities. Our expertise will help you grow revenues and market share, while avoiding unnecessary spending.
A330-900 Airbus MSN1795 First Flight - take off
As with many of the Airbus jetliners that proceeded it, the no. 1 A330neo performed its maiden flight from Toulouse-Blagnac Airport in southwestern France – with this milestone kicking off the aircraft's 1,400-flight hour certification development programme
Runway Capability
For airports planning to grow their networks and market share, we support them by determining accurately the capability of every runway.
We help airport management teams answer strategic questions:
- What Airbus aircraft can operate at their Maximum Take-Off Weight?
- What markets are within the range of Airbus aircraft from the current runway?
- How much should a runway be extended to operate larger Airbus aircraft?
- If a runway is extended, what new markets can Airbus aircraft reach?

Airside Compatibility & Design
We help airports prepare and optimise their airside for traffic growth and larger aircraft, unlocking future capacity and long-term viability.
Our proven consulting approach includes assessing current operations and regulatory constraints, studying future traffic scenarios, identifying capacity bottlenecks and delivering strategies to optimise existing assets or design cost-effective new airside infrastructure.

PCR & Pavement Lifespan
ICAO approved a new pavement rating system - called ACR/PCR - that replaced the ACN/PCN method in November 2024.
We can re-evaluate an airport's current PCR using a high-resolution, ICAO-compliant, method. This would ensure that more demanding aircraft are not unnecessarily excluded from your aircraft mix.
To optimise the pavement’s usage and CapEx throughout its lifecycle, our experts can also accurately assess its structural life and forecast both routine and major maintenance requirements.
