Mexico City, September 10, 2021 – Airbus Mexico Training Center (AMTC) celebrates five years of operations. Since its inauguration in 2016, the AMTC has trained more than 4,500 pilots from the main Mexican carriers.

The 2,500-square-meter facility offers A320 Family aircraft operators initial and recurrent training for pilots and maintenance personnel, as well as type-rating for pilots with experience in other aircraft. The AMTC has two A320 simulators and the capacity to offer up to 500 virtual flight hours per month per simulator, representing around 12,000 flight hours per year.

Air traffic in Latin America is progressively ramping up and this will call for more than 5,500 pilots to be trained over the next few years in the region.
