Finnair, the flag carrier of Finland and the fifth oldest operating airline in the world, has selected Navigation+ for Flight Management System (FMS) data on their Airbus fleet.
Navigation+ is NAVBLUE’s Navigation Database solution, containing the most relevant aeronautical navigation information available, such as en-route, airports (including runway characteristics), procedures, and Grid MORA.
The Finnish carrier will benefit from harmonized data with worldwide and regional coverage, as the solution -that holds the EASA DAT Type 1 certification- contains over 28,000 operating airports and 100,000 Instrument Flight Procedures (SID/STAR/IAC).
In addition, Finnair will benefit from tailored data to optimize its operational efficiency. Marc Lemeilleur, CEO of NAVBLUE says “Continuous improvement projects have led us to our most comprehensive and high-quality database to date. We are happy to support the enhancement of Finnair's operational efficiency with our tailored and reliable data."
Pekka Helenius, Head of Flight Operations engineering at Finnair, says “The basis of Finnair’s safe, reliable operations is high-quality data. This collaboration with NAVBLUE ensures that we have an up-to-date, flexible system that enables our pilots to do their job the best possible way every day.”
