MRO Europe, Amsterdam, 18 October 2023 - Airbus announced that Cyprus Airways has selected Airbus’ Flight Hour Services (FHS) to support their A220 Family fleet thus becoming the third European FHS customer for an A220 fleet and the sixth A220 FHS contract worldwide.
Cyprus Airways will benefit from integrated material services including on-site-stock at their main base in Larnaca, access to Airbus mutualised spare pools around the world components engineering and repair services.
Airbus will secure the best availability of main spare parts, generating value through increased fleet availability and operating maintenance costs savings.
Through this new contract, Airbus confirms its leading position as the largest A220 power-by-the-hour maintenance service provider in the world, with more than 240 A220s including more than 90 A220s in the Europe region covered with Flight Hour Services (FHS).
“We are pleased to enter into this agreement with Airbus for FHS services for our upcoming operations in our A220 new fleet. This will positively impact our rigorous fleet reliability and operations performance” Paul Sies, CEO of Cyprus Airways.
“We are thankful to Cyprus Airways for their trust in the Airbus products and Services. We are keen to engage the Airbus Flight Hour Services expertise and industrial set-up to support Cyprus Airways operations and fleet growth” says Charbel Youzkatli, Head of Europe Commercial Services.
