Airbus will be highlighting its technological innovations with the most advanced passenger aircraft, the A350-900, at the MAKS international aviation and space airshow taking place August 27th - September 1st in Zhukovsky, Moscow region. The A350-900 flight test aircraft, MSN002, will take part in the flying displays and be on static display for visits till August 31st.

MSN002, which performed its maiden flight on 26 February 2014, features distinctive carbon fibre livery illustrating the advanced composites technology largely incorporated (53%) on the A350 Family.  It will be also fitted with some elements of Airbus Connected Experience, the company’s latest innovation aimed at enhancing passenger and cabin crew comfort as well as facilitating their interaction during the flight.    

At the Airbus stand in Hall F3 a broad spectrum of Airbus activities in Russia will be demonstrated, including components manufacturing and engineering activities. Thus, Airbus Defence and Space will display for the first time the space equipment produced by its JV with Russian Space Systems, while Airbus Engineering centre ECAR will share insights into its recent projects and achievements in Russia.

The Airbus stand will become a centre stage to highlight Airbus’ 50 years of pioneering progress the company is celebrating this year.  Airbus exposition will feature large-scale models of the A321LR and the long-range A350-1000, Earth Observation products’ portfolio and a dedicated “Services” area to discover Airbus’ latest solutions for maintenance – including Skywise, as well as training and cabin upgrades. In addition, visitors of the Airbus stand will be able to take a virtual reality tour around the world of Airbus today and have a glimpse of what the future may look like.
