Airbus expands A320 Family ACT suite in China with Loongair
Beijing, 8 July 2022 – Loongair, one of the fastest-growing, privately-owned airlines in China, is the first Chinese airline to order the A320 Family Airbus Competence Training (ACT) suite from Airbus. ACT Suite, available for all Airbus aircraft types, is a virtual 3D training device for maintenance training. This maintenance training digital tool is an operationally oriented scenario-based programme. It allows for both theoretical – with animated system descriptions – and practical troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
Compared with traditional maintenance training methods, ACT suite provides all the advantages of digital tools, especially in the process of monitoring training progress in full alignment with the Airbus Training Standards with a continuous stream of up-to-date OEM data. With access to the interactive virtual tools and scenarios, both instructors and trainees benefit from an “immersive” experience in maintenance training. Meanwhile, by utilising the maintenance integrated solution to address the initial and recurrent training at the customers’ base, training can be completed with higher efficiency, lower costs and optimised human resources allocation.
