Azul Linhas Aéreas extends Airbus Flight Hour Services contracts for 100+ aircraft

Santiago, 11 April 2024 – Brazilian carrier Azul Linhas Aéreas has extended its Airbus Flight Hour Services (FHS) agreements for its A320 and A330 Family aircraft, covering more than 100 aircraft.
The multi-year, maintenance-by-the-hour contracts signed by Azul cover integrated component services, including on-site stock, pool access as well as repair and engineering services for a wide range of rotable parts. The airline will benefit from Airbus’ engineering expertise and local FHS representatives in Brazil.
Azul Linhas Aereas launched operations in 2008 and has since grown to become one of the largest airlines in Brazil, servicing more than 160 destinations within Brazil, the United States, Europe and South America. Azul was the first Airbus FHS customer in Latin America, selecting Airbus to provide component services for its A320 fleet in 2016.
Airbus has sold over 1,300 aircraft in Latin America and the Caribbean and has a leading market share of in-service passenger aircraft. Around 800 are in operation throughout the region, with close to 500 in the order backlog. Since 1994, Airbus has secured 75% of net orders in the region. 1,300 aircraft are supported worldwide by Airbus with FHS Contracts.
