Become a competent pilot
From zero-experience to being an operational pilot, you will graduate at the end of the training with a "frozen Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL)".
1. Begin Ab initio training within our Flight Academy Network, to get your Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) with Instrument Rating/Multi-Engine (IR/ME) and Upset Prevention & Recovery Training (UPRT).
2. Then, you complete the Intermediate training (JOC/MCC) at an Airbus Training Centre, which also deliver Advanced training (Type Rating and other Flight training courses).

A CBTA*-based training designed to become operational

STEP 1 - Screening assessment process completed
Given a successful completion of the Airbus Screening Assessment process, you will start the programme as a Cadet.
STEP 2 - Core phase / Flight & Ground training
(7 weeks)
Discover, confirm & perform your first solo flight.
After about 54 hours of ground training, experience 19 flight hours on Single-engine aircraft, including your first solo flight. At the end, the Pilot confirmation will validate your potential to become an Airbus Cadet.
STEP 3 - Theoretical ATPL / Ground training
Acquire the essential basics
More than 700 hours of theoretical ATPL classroom training with qualified instructors, composed of:
- Air Law
- Meteorology
- Aircraft General Knowledge
- General navigation
- Instrumentation
- Radio navigation
- Mass and balance
- Operational procedures
- Performances
- Principles of flight
- Flight planning and monitoring
- Communications
- Human Performances and Limitations
Completion of the theoretical ATP phase
STEP 4 - Basic phases / Flight & Ground training
(~28 weeks)
Practice, practice and practice
Almost 190 flight hours of practical training (on simulator & in flight) & 85 hours of ground school with:
-Single Engine (SE) & Multi Engine (ME) training fully performed on a modern aircraft, in Visual Flight Rules (VFR) and Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) conditions
- Latest generation Flight Simulation Training Devices (FSTD)
- Technical & Non technical skills monitoring
To complete the Commercial Pilot License (CPL) & Instrument Rating Multi-Engine (IR/ME)
STEP 5 - Advanced Training / JOC combined with MCC
(~3 weeks)
Be prepared for your Airline Pilot position
- 12 days of classroom & flight simulation on an Airbus Full Flight Simulator (FFS)
- High altitude operations and commercial jet performance handling
- Multi-crew cockpit operations to prepare to act as a First Officer (FO)
To complete the Airbus integrated ATPL and be given the Airbus Cadet Code certificate.
