Air Traffic Management (ATM) is evolving drastically to support the traffic growth anticipated in the next decades, with Air/Ground communication being one of the main pillars of the Air Traffic Management evolution.
The Controller/Pilot Data link Communication (CPDLC), allowing direct communication between controllers and pilots by mean of data instead of voice, is available on your in-service fleet through the different Future Air Navigation Systems (FANS) standards developed by Airbus.
To further enhance the datalink communication added-value, Airbus is also participating in the IRIS SESAR Project developing FANS C Over SATCOM capacity providing a secure satellite-based datalink for ATM in continental areas.
